Courtney Thorne Smith Bio

Courtney Thorne-Smith (born November 8 1987, died in 1967) is an American actress from the United States. Her best-known work is her roles in Melrose Place as Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim as well as her recurring role in Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne Smith was born in San Francisco and raised in Menlo Park (a suburb to San Francisco). Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne was her mother. Both were computer market researchers. They divorced at the age of seven. Courtney was just seven, and she lived with both parents during different times. She has a younger sister, Jennifer, who is an advertising executive. She attended Menlo-Atherton high school located in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in the year 1985. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley as she was in high school. Thorne-Smith made her first film appearance in the 1986 movie drama Lucas as well as Winona Ryder, Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. In the latter half of the 1980s, she was also featured in a variety of films that included Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). She was a part of Carrot Top in 1998's box office failure, and was Chairman of the Board. In 2009 she appeared in Sorority Wars. In the 1990s, Thorne-Smith dated Andrew Shue, her on-screen lover from Melrose Place. In June 2000, the actress was married geneticist Andrew Conrad; the couple ended their relationship in January of 2001. On January 1st in 2007, she wed Roger Fishman, president of the marketing firm called the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. She gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008 at 40.
